The ABC Power Series goal is to help teachers improve Attitudes, Behaviors, and Conditions, in the learning environment. - Building positive relationships with students is key. Researchers and educators agree that when a positive relationship exists between adults and students, higher academic achievement is likely and fewer discipline problems will be realized.

- Students need intervention to help them diminish the negative impact of poverty on their cognitive and emotional development.
- Parental involvement is critical to student and school success. When parents are involved, students achieve at higher levels. Increasing parental support is a fundamental step to helping students succeed.
- Decreasing discipline problems in the learning environment continues to present a challenge for educators. Effective classroom management strategies will create a climate of cooperation, and high expectations, and increase time on task.
- Educators continue to seek the answers to how and why students are motivated. Answering these two questions will provide guidance in implementing innovative strategies to turn counterproductive student behaviors into productive ones.
